What is Tideling?
Tideling is a personal finance tool that helps you forecast your cashflow. Instead of tracking where your money went, it shows you where it's going — so you can plan ahead with confidence.
Is Tideling free?
Yes! Tideling has a free tier that lets you create a plan and start forecasting right away. For more features like unlimited plans, recurring transactions, and longer forecast windows, check out our Plus and Complete plans.
Is this for businesses or individuals?
Tideling is built for individuals and households. It's designed for personal finance — managing your own income, expenses, and savings goals.
How is this different from a budgeting app?
Most budgeting apps categorize past spending. Tideling projects your future balance based on planned income and expenses. It answers the question: "What will my bank account look like in three months?"
What are plans and scenarios?
A plan is a set of income and expenses that produces a cashflow forecast. You can create multiple plans to compare different scenarios — like what happens if you change jobs, move to a new city, or take on a new expense.
Can I import my bank transactions?
Not yet. Tideling is focused on forward-looking forecasting rather than transaction tracking. You manually add the income and expenses you want to plan around.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest via our infrastructure provider. We never sell your information, and we don't connect to your bank accounts. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. You can downgrade or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings.
